Learning outcomes of course unit:
Students who complete this course will have detailed knowledge of the possibilities for modelling, planning, managing and implementing alternative business models. This knowledge will be developed with integrated case studies.
Course contents:
Function-oriented vs. process-oriented organisation, comparison of alternative business models (industries, business size, effectiveness), importance of a process-oriented view, fundamentals of process orientation in businesses, description of business processes, methods, tools of business process management, planning and controlling business processes, model for process organisation and improvement, process organisation problems, process measurement variables, process controlling.
