Learning outcomes of course unit:
Students should become familiar with the fundamental concepts and characteristics of establishing a company. They will have knowledge of the stages of establishing a company and will be able to identify and discuss the factors of successfully establishing a company using practical examples. They will acquire a basic knowledge of the topics of corporations and entrepreneurship. Skills will be taught concerning ways of thinking and acting in the areas of establishing a company, business planning, finance and marketing. The changed market and environmental conditions in highly integrated and connected markets will be given a basic consideration, and means and method skills will be taught to students. In doing so, current market and environmental conditions in the area of small and medium-sized business will be given special attention to develop a business or an entrepreneur.
Course contents:
Business ? establishing a business / entrepreneur ? entrepreneurship, alternative types of business establishments: Re-establishing a business, establishing a business, MBI/MBO, franchises, spin-offs, macroeconomic importance of establishing a business, empirical factors for establishing businesses in Austria and Germany, requirements and success factors for the stages of establishment processes: Pre-set-up stage, establishment stage, R&D stage, market entry stage, growth stage
