Key learning outcomes

The graduates are able to do the following:

  • They are capable of applying the core elements of mechanical engineering, representing these elements in technical drawings using the latest computer-aided systems, performing calculations and preparing designs.
  • Graduates are capable of using the properties and structures of metallic materials and plastics in processing and manufacturing and are aware of the techniques involved and the necessary measuring technologies. The graduates use this knowledge in the development of products and are highly proficient in the necessary methods.
  • The graduates have an excellent grasp of the tools of the digital process chain and are capable of creating prototypes.
  • The graduates are capable of identifying the digital route from initial design through design, analysis and simulation, virtual and real prototypes to the finished product and additionally they are capable of applying the individual application-oriented solutions.
