Learning outcomes of course unit:
Students will have the ability to analyse sub-areas in business economics and adopt current solutions for such problems. They will learn the diverse relationships between functions in business economics and will be able to accurately use technical vocabulary related to business economics.

Course contents:
Fundamental concepts of finance and accounting, Figures for success and liquidity management, financial forms. Balance sheet, profit and loss statement, double entry bookkeeping, fixed and current assets, equity and foreign capital, accounting, financing. The course will end with the fundamentals of balance sheet analysis and policy. The course also aims for students to develop the ability at the end of the semester to create a simple annual statement of accounts using the accounting system and broadly interpret a completed statement of accounts.
