We see ourselves as an autonomous, independent and international university of applied sciences. The educational and research program is developed in accordance with international standards. The integration of theory and practice as an essential part of our teaching ensures that the education our students receive is innovative and oriented towards the future, and thus in line with the demands of the economy and society. Our international network with 150 partner universities allows lecturers and students to participate in exchanges, which results in a transfer of knowledge across all borders. We stand for internationalism, mobility and multiculturalism. Our endeavors have their roots in a service culture that is based on mutual trust. We see ourselves to be a builder of bridges between science and practice, and thus contribute to the transnational development of society as well as the sustainable development of the location Kufstein/Tyrol.

With a broad spectrum of degree programs on offer, we cover core themes in the in the fields of economics (e.g., International Business Studies), technology (e.g., Facility & Real Estate Management) and society (e.g., Sports, Culture & Event Management). Our international faculty members apply modern didactic approaches to effectively convey the subject matter of their disciplines. Above and beyond that, our objective is to foster the necessary competencies in our students so that they not only establish themselves as knowledgeable experts but as earnest partners and employees who can take on the challenges of their chosen profession.

We take the mentoring of our students as developing personalities very seriously and therefore position this idea at the center of teaching and learning.

The capacity to carry out applied research and support companies in making innovative developments is a characteristic that can be particularly attributed to universities of applied sciences like the FH Kufstein. We integrate cutting-edge ideas from both the economy and the sciences in concrete projects so that companies and students derive practical benefits from them. A required element for our students of all degree programs is participation in the exchange program, and for this purpose the FH Kufstein maintains a network consisting of 150 partner universities. During their studies abroad the students acquire first-rate qualifications and deep insights into other countries and cultures. Additionally, their stay gives them new life experiences and friendships as they learn to find their way in new surroundings and to integrate themselves in a new society. And conversely, our faculty and students integrate the visiting international students who come to Kufstein to study. Overall, the cultural exchange fosters mutual understanding and makes a significant contribution to bringing cultures and people closer together.

The education offered by the FH Kufstein is practically oriented and thus students are substantially involved in case studies and real-life projects. The practical orientation supports the network with the economy in general and with internationally active organizations specifically. In this way students are able to put theoretical knowledge into practice and take advantage of the many opportunities to qualify themselves professionally and exchange experiences with practitioners in the field.

The FH Kufstein is clearly structured and organized to meet the requirements of our students. Our management style is based on a culture of mutual trust. Our students are supported by both the faculty in regard to academic matters and the team of assistants, who are readily available to deal with all administrative matters.
