MSc European NGO Management

Globalization and its economic pros and cons are the words on everyone’s lips. Business sciences deal with changes in markets and the opportunities and risks associated with international business activities. Global media coverage is causing the world to positively shrink. Often overlooked is the fact that globalization not only affects economic, legal and social conditions, but that these constant changes in conditions require each individual to permanently adapt to new situations.

What is it that a person needs in this world of rapid development and change to be able to operate successfully? This kind of change demands not just specialist expertise, but above all the ability to be flexible. This means in particular the ability to think and develop solutions to problems independently (methodological skills), as well as the capacity to move confidently in various cultural groups and/or internationally oriented corporate cultures and take on responsibility (social skills).

These special features also characterize the differing management situation of modern market economies, for which specific, customized management tools and methods are required. The concept of the Master’s Degree Program in "European NGO Management" addresses all the critical areas of NGOs/NPOs and takes a practical approach to each. Problems that NGOs have to deal with today involve management and effective leadership, marketing and fundraising with all its facets, the revised regulatory framework and the basic survival of such organizations (quality management, innovation and change management).

The Master’s Degree in "European NGO Management" takes all of the above issues into consideration and presents them in a practical way.
