On April 25, 2020, the open house will take place virtually for the first time. People who are interested can find out information conveniently from home and will receive a good overall impression of the educational programs and the campus.

The university of applied sciences in Kufstein is reacting to the current challenging situation and is offering a virtual open house to people who are interested. At the open house events, the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol will not only present the twelve bachelor and twelve master study programs but also the FH building.

“Thanks to our good infrastructure and the great commitment of all our employees, we were able to switch FH operations to remote control in a very short time, which makes it possible to have our first online open house. By doing so, we are successfully handling the current situation, are providing a fantastic overall picture of the FH, and at the same time are guaranteeing health protection,” emphasized University of Applied Sciences Professor, Dr. Thomas Madritsch, managing director of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.

Online open house: live and personal!

In the form of virtual tours through the FH building, the laboratories, and the student dormitory, those who are interested receive a personal insight into daily life at the university as well as into life in Kufstein. Helpful information about study programs and living at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol is provided on the event page and enhances the good overall impression of the campus.

Teachers at the university of applied sciences in Kufstein present the study programs live and use sample lectures to give an initial impression about the content of study programs. Like past open house events, this will give those who are interested an insight into the 24 educational programs and help potential students make decisions. Unanswered questions can be asked in the chat rooms, and the degree program teams will answer them. In addition, appointments can be made for personal consultation meetings like for the virtual master lounge.

“We are certain that these times are challenging for everyone. However, we are looking into the future in a way that is positive and optimistic, and that is the good news. Our doors are open for everyone – even if it is only virtually. That is why I am very glad that with this online solution we can give those who are interested in us an opportunity that is as personal as possible to find out information about study programs at our campus,” said University of Applied Sciences Professor Dr. Mario Döller, president of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol in anticipation of the first virtual open house.
