All updates, current rules of conduct, opening times and other important measures with regards to Corona for the 2020/21 winter semester at the FH Kufstein Tirol can be found here.

Update 22nd of October, 2020: Hybrid operation of the university continues unhindered

Despite the current tightened government measures to contain the corona pandemic, the FH Kufstein Tirol can continue its studies unhindered.

The measures put in place by the State of Tyrol do not affect the operation of the FH Kufstein Tirol. The mixture of online and in-person teaching as well as our consistent hygiene and prevention concept make a safe coexistence on campus possible. Our gratitude goes to all university members: students, lecturers and service staff who support and implement the measures with great discipline.

Solely the Cafe.04 and Diner on campus now operate with restricted opening hours and mandatory registration via QR code or completed written form. New opening hours: Mon-Thurs: 8 AM – 1 PM; Fri: 8 AM - 4 PM; Sat: 8 AM to 1 PM.

More Updates

Students are recommended to carry an official commuter certificate for crossing the border, issued by the FH Kufstein Tirol.

This commuter certificate is necessary for all German students at the FH Kufstein Tirol for entering Austria and returning to Germany, as well as Austrian students at the FH Kufstein Tirol who live in Germany.

You can download the application form in the student portal fh.checkin. The completed form can be submitted for approval digitally via the Study Management ticket system. The approved commuter certificate will be sent to your student e-mail address.

Important information for crossing the border:

  • The commuter certificate from the FH Kufstein Tirol must be stamped, signed and printed in color and is to be presented at the border upon request.
  • The obligation to present a valid passport or passport substitute and, if applicable, a valid residence permit remains unaffected.
  • If traveling by car, the commuter certificate can be placed in the windshield to speed up the inspection.
  • Students are recommended to have their student card and a current confirmation of enrollment with them.
  • Austrian students living in Germany should also have a confirmation of registration from Germany with them.

External lecturers are advised to request an additional confirmation from HR Management ( personalfh-kufstein.ac.at) stating they are teaching as an external lecturer at the FH Kufstein Tirol.

Since Friday, September 25, 2020, there is also a German travel warning for Tyrol. The course of study is currently not impaired by this warning, as commuters and persons who stay less than 48 hours in Austria (Tyrol) continue to be able to enter and depart without restrictions.

Since many lectures are also held in presence at the FH Kufstein Tirol, we ask you to pay attention to the direct information of the respective study courses.
