On Saturday, March 4, 2023, the Austrian University Championships for Skiing and Snowboarding took place in Kirchberg in Tyrol. For the eleventh time, students from the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol organized The Alpine Student Championships in collaboration with Unisport Austria. This year's event was informed by the motto "Race, Thrill, Party, Chill." A total of 60 students from all over Austria competed in this year's TASC-UAM for the title of University Champion in skiing and snowboarding and engaged in an exciting race in Supercross. The course was set as a slalom with giant slalom flag gates on the first part of the track and then led into a classic giant slalom on the second track. After an exciting first run, the best 20 riders qualified for the second run.

After two thrilling runs, the winners of this year's TASC-UAM were determined. Among the female skiers, Monika Widmoser from the University of Innsbruck won the gold medal, followed by Nina Wiesmüller, a student at FH Kufstein Tirol. Third place went to Maria Beyer from the Medical University of Innsbruck. The Austrian Ski University Champion was Marco Pöll from the University of Innsbruck, who won the title for the second time in a row. Colorful program between the races

In addition to the race participants, a large number of spectators gathered in the finish area on the day of the event to cheer on the racers. The moderator who commented on the race for the spectators and the DJ with musical accompaniment contributed to a good atmosphere. The side events also generated great enthusiasm among the visitors. Spikeball, in particular, provided a lot of fun and a good break between the race runs for sports-minded students. Another highlight was the raffle, supported by fantastic prizes from our sponsors. The traditional sledding event, which took place as a fun race after the competition, also enjoyed great popularity and was well received. A selection of regional food and drinks provided refreshments in between events.
