Learning outcomes of course unit

Students:
• know general civil law as well as general private law aspects of entrepreneurial activities.
• understand fundamental legal principles explained with specific examples of common problems in legal practice.
• are able to classify common legal business-related problems under general private law and civil law.
• understand the legal organization of businesses, the contract law of business persons and alternative corporate legal forms, especially for business start-ups.
• are able to classify the following fields of law and understand their basic contents: company law, liability, contract law, marketing (purchasing, internet trade, franchise, etc.), financial contract law (loans, securities, shareholdings, etc.), insolvency, protection of industrial property, labor law, administrative law, industrial law, antitrust law and European law.
