Learning outcomes of course unit

Graduates are able to: - identify and communicate basic principles of building physics in building constructions. - use principles of building physics to implement key future concepts for energy-saving construction. - identify and avoid damage to buildings caused by incorrect building physics. - introduce and improve measures for soundproofing and room acoustics. - identify and solve problems related to damp protection.

- Energy saving construction methods - Insulation in winter and summer - Air sealing and wind sealing - Protection against moisture - Noise protection and room acoustics - Construction faults and their causes - Construction ecology and how to include it in planning concepts - Principles of environmentally sustainable construction
