Learning outcomes of course unit

Graduates are able to: - describe building technology requirements. - analyze and calculate technical construction solutions and list them in a preliminary planning phase. - apply their expertise in communication with planners of technical building services.

- Meteorological principles, comfort - Heating loads and cooling loads - Knowledge of the field of heating systems: description and parameters of the most important components, e.g. heat exchangers, boilers, gas burners, heat pumps, solar systems, automation devices - Knowledge of the field of ventilation technology: description and parameters of the most important components, e.g. ventilators, air heaters and air coolers, air filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, heat recovery, fire safety, automation devices - Knowledge of the field of cooling technology: description and parameters of the most important components, e.g. cooling machines, recooling, cooling ceilings, recirculating air cooling devices
