Learning outcomes of course unit

Students are able to:
analyse and assess the status of core processes in the field of production.
 use adequate key figures to define targets and achieve them by employing meth-ods / tools
(QM approaches).
derive measures against the backdrop of the interrelatedness of core processes and
interpret their effects.

 Core processes in the production area
 Challenges in the production area against the backdrop of given market require-ments
 Levels of production management (strategic, tactical, operational), such as the selection of
location, in-house manufacture / external manufacture, order man-agement, organisation of
work systems, production planning and control (PPC), human resource management
 Lean management
 Management of the production area with qualitative and quantitative approaches (QM
approaches)
