Students are able to:
 understand the history of product processes and present-day standards (PLM, PPS, CIM,…).
 identify current market challenges and implement the respective requirements for production.
 analyse current trends and their consequences on production (automation, inter-
relatedness).
 identify and derive new, global production methods and to identify consequences on an
innovative production.
 identify current trends in production.
 describe the consequences of these trends on production.
 define measures with regard to these trends.

ensures that students consolidate knowledge in the respective field of specialisation with the
latest knowledge.
