level of course unit

First cycle, Bachelor

Learning outcomes of course unit

Students are able to:
• assign actuators to the respective electric actuators.
• explain the functioning of sensors (capacitive, inductive, optical and magnetic proximity switch, limit switch).
• explain binary, digital and analog signals.
• explain the structure and functioning of a programmable logic controller (PLC).
• describe fundamental rules of control design.
• apply logical basic functions in control technology.
• assess controls and regulations.
• explain terms of regulating technology: step response, controlled variable, correcting variable, reference variable, disturbance variable and dynamic behaviour.
• subdivide bus systems.
• compare robotics systems.
