Learning outcomes of course unit

Students are able to:
• use common measuring instruments of electrical engineering in a correct and safe way (e.g. digital multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
• understand electrical and electronic circuit diagrams.
• measure and assess currents, voltages and resistances in electrical circuits.
• identify fundamental laws of electrical engineering.
• to build and analyse electrical engineering circuits and electronic circuits according to the circuit diagram.
• present how capacitor and coil work in an alternating current circuit.
• differentiate and select electronic components.
• identify and select circuits for electrical machines (e.g. three-phase induction motor).

• Series connection and parallel connection
• Capacitor and coil in alternating current circuit
• Employment and operation of electrical equipment and electrical machines
