Learning outcomes of course unit

Students are able to:
 understand the history and fundamentals of information systems and analyse and identify
the special characteristics of today’s businesses.
 make use of their wide-ranging knowledge of different information systems in order to
categorise them.
 understand the technical structure of information systems and classify them with their
advantages and disadvantages.
 break down and analyse ERP life cycles.
 specify a broad overview of requirements and use familiar tools and methods in order to
implement the selection of an ERP system.
 understand the quality requirements and test an ERP system.
 identify ERP business architecture and terminology and transfer this to business-es.
 understand the complexity of an integrated ERP system and the most important interfaces.
