Learning outcomes of course unit
master the fundamental methods and concepts of descriptive and inductive statistics;
be able to apply descriptive and inductive statistics methods to economic analyses.
prerequisites and co-requisites
In this course students will gain a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts of statistics, which will allow students to be able to evaluate and interpret statistical data.
The first part of the course will focus on fundamental concepts in statistics: empirical distribution, means, measures of dispersion, probability calculation, random variables. The second part of the course will deal with estimations, testing hypotheses, and regression analysis.
