Students will:
know and understand modern concepts and methods of operative controlling;
know and understand modern concepts and methods of strategic controlling;
be able to apply this knowledge to real situations.

course contents

Students gain a real-life impression of modern financial controlling and develop an understanding of approaches to strategic management consulting. The aim of this course is for students to learn an independent solution oriented approach.
The first part of the course will explain the basic concepts of financial controlling, such as control loops and strategic and operative financial controlling, in condensed form. In the second part of the course students will prepare a complex case study in small groups.
