This course provides an introduction to the history, economic policy and development of the European Union. The topics addressed in the course are: forms of economic integration, the history of European integration, institutional development, EU decision-making bodies, areas of common economic policy, European monetary integration, problems of EU expansion as well as non-economic common policy.
