I became aware of the internship at Siemens Ltd. China through the International Relations Office of the University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein. I decided for Beijing because I had been interested in this country and its flourishing economy for a long time. Now I was able to put into practice the knowledge acquired during my studies. In the security department I was involved in many interesting projects.
The preparations for the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai were particularly fascinating. Getting to know colleagues and important business partners and sharing experiences was very helpful for my professional future. In spite of the language barrier my colleagues were always helpful and interested. I would advise anyone to complete an internship abroad to broaden their horizons.
