course contents

Students will acquire fundamental knowledge of the field of graphic arts and design. A first step is training the students’ visual perception of form, colour and typography. The course will prepare students to identify the basic rules and methods of visual representation. This also includes the ability to establish good design standards and quality characteristics.

The main emphasis will be on modern graphic and screen design (gestalt law of organization, colour theory, effect of form), equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Building on this basis, image composition and design will be discussed and implemented in practical exercises and subsequently reviewed.
