Learning outcomes of course unit

English I-III (B2)

In this module, students acquire the language and develop the skills necessary for an occupation in the area of business with level B2 (CEFR) in English. They learn to:
• understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.
• interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
• produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

English III (B2.3)
In this course, students:
• achieve the level of language and skills that the CEFR requires for level B2
• are able to successfully and professionally use this language and these skills in business contexts



English I-III (C1)

In this module, students acquire the language and develop the skills necessary for an occupation in the area of business with level C1 (CEFR) in English. They learn to:
• understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning.
• express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
• use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
• produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

English III (C1.3)
In this course, students:
• achieve the level of language and skills that the CEFR requires for level C1
• are able to successfully and professionally use this language and these skills in business contexts

English III B2.3
In this course, students consolidate both their general language skills and their business language skills as well as the knowledge they have acquired in order to achieve CEFR level B2. In this course, students consolidate both their general language skills and their business language skills as well as the knowledge they have acquired in order to achieve CEFR level C1. English B2.3: 15% Class participation and Mid-term test 15% Listening comprehension (15-minute exam) 15% Reading comprehension (60-minute exam) 15% Spoken expression (15-minute exam) 40% Final written exam (written expression (60 minutes), grammar and vocabulary) English C1.3: Assessment in this course consists of the following components: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and spoken expression as well as class participation.
