Practical information for mobile students

Kufstein is a small city where almost everything is within walking distance. The FH Kufstein Tirol is situated in the center of town and can be easily reached by foot, bike, bus and car.

City bus

The city bus system is very convenient and connects all parts of Kufstein. If you use the bus system regularly, you can get a better value for your money by purchasing a weekly, monthly or yearly bus pass.
Fees: € 1.30 (single trip, regular price)

If you prefer getting around by car, please be aware that parking on street is permitted only in the marked areas. Parking is metered, so be sure to buy a parking ticket in advance from one of the many machines set up on the sidewalks. The maximum amount of time that can be purchased per ticket is 90 minutes; if your errands or activities take longer, be sure to return in time to purchase another ticket. There are also numerous public parking garages and lots scattered around Kufstein. While these facilities can be a bit more expensive, the advantage is that you always pay when you exit the facility so you don’t have to worry about time limits and being hit with parking fines. Residents of Kufstein may also purchase an annual parking permit, which allows them to park on the street in the zone around their home.

The FH Kufstein Tirol only has a very limited number of parking spaces on the premises for students. Students who come by car are advised to use the nearby public parking facilities:
