European Insolvency Regulation:
• How can property distributed in several states be reasonably recorded and used?
• How can an equal distribution of the asset(s) among the international creditors be guaranteed?
• Is it necessary to initiate more than one proceeding; and if so in which state?
• Do the legal effects of the proceeding also affect other states?
• What law should apply?

U.S. Bankruptcy Code:
Chapter 11 as a section of the bankruptcy law of the United States allows in insolvency proceedings that legal actions of creditors against the debtors are prevented until the completion of the reorganization.
In the past, many large U.S. companies have successfully completed a restructuring process with this method and were able to maintain their daily operations.
