Examing principal possibilities to support business processes in operations through IT-systems. Another focus is on the loose coupling of heterogeneous systems via Middleware architectures (e.g. Enterprise Service Bus, ESB) and the service-oriented view on processes (Service-Oriented Architectures, SOA). Considerations as to the application integration in the enterprise round off the course. (Enterprise Application Integration, EAI).
