Mustafa Coskun, MA, Alumni study year 2010

Service Desk Team Lead, Allianz, München

Why did you choose the ERP Systems & Business Process Management Master's program? What made it special for you?

Before I started studying in Kufstein, I had been an IT change and process manager for three years already and really wanted to deepen my IT and process management knowledge. I looked for further education opportunities and found the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences' website. I knew in an instance that it was exactly what I had been looking for. As process management is like a hobby to me, it was the decisive factor in my choice.

How easy is it to reconcile working, studying and having a life?

I was working full-time in Munich, had a family with a small child and my German was not perfect. That is why these two years – especially the first semester – were difficult and I had to sacrifice time with my family. But, I was highly motivated, and knew that it would be only for two years and an investment in my future.

What job opportunities opened up to you through studying here?

Through studying, I was able to link theory and job experience, which led me to be able to apply for higher positions. From my current career's perspective, I can only confirm that the two years invested were worth it. I could change my position to that of an IT process expert and service desk team leader in a larger insurance concern.

What is your general impression of the degree program and the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences?

If I was asked to grade the degree program on a scale from 1 to 5, one being the best, I would give it a 1+ because the program covers all IT areas that future IT experts/managers need.
