Learning outcomes of course unit

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:
- identify and analyse requirements for a sustainable building in all phases of planning
- contrast various national and international certification systems and methods of certification against each other.

basics building, building materials and building physics (bachelor level)

- Requirements of a sustainable building in the planning and construction process as well as in the operation
- National and international certification systems (DGNB, LEED, BREAM, CASBEE, TQA...)
- Green building as a decision criteria for investors and clients, consequences for the application and construction costs
- Methods in the implementation of certification
