Specific arrangement for prior learning

Under certain circumstances it may be possible for a student to transfer credits attained for completed coursework at other educational institutions. In general, acceptance of the credits depends on the courses a student wishes to be exempted from. The student initiates the approval process by submitting a transfer request form. If the previously completed coursework is deemed equivalent with regard to contents and scope to the coursework in the curriculum, the examination requirements shall be considered fulfilled. In case a credit transfer is thus approved, it will generally not be necessary for the student to attend the course(s) or be examined on the material covered therein. A maximum of 1 semester worth of credits may be transferred.

Specialized knowledge and relevant experiences acquired through professional practice may also be considered for credit. This is especially applicable for students who have a job and intend to participate in one of the part-time degree programs.
