course contents

The ongoing discussion about digital transformation and sustainability is often referred to from a micro or company-internal perspective. However, concepts such as “Industry 4.0” can only unfold its benefits if suppliers and customers are interconnected across the supply chain. Further, if entire ecosystems start to share their strengths, innovation and sustainability can be enhanced for all stakeholders. In this course, students will get an insight on the specific challenges and benefits of innovation and sustainability in industrial ecosystems. The course aims to provide students with economic and technical background knowledge in order to understand innovation and sustainability from an ecosystem perspective and derive adequate responses from a management perspective.
