German Language (Group A beginner level)

Learning outcomes of course unit

The course is designed for students with no or very little
previous knowledge of the German language. The course
leads up to Level A1.1 according to the Common
European Framework of Reference for Languages.
This course is not suitable for students who have studied
German before and want to refresh their knowledge.

Accredited students of University of Applied Sciences of
Kufstein and International Program without previous
knowledge of German

course contents

Students will learn basic communication tools that enable
unsophisticated communication in everyday situations.
Topics: giving basic personal information, e.g. about family,
hobbies, daily routines etc., dealing with everyday
situations, e.g. shopping
Grammar structures: basic sentences, pronouns,
regular/irregular conjugation, gender, singular/plural, cases

recommended or required reading

A bilingual dictionary is highly recommended.

Attendance, participation, assignments, short
vocabulary/grammar tests at beginning of each lesson,
final test
