Planning a sports day in Kufstein in January 2018
The tourism board of Kufstein “Kufsteinerland” had the idea to organize a sports day to be held in January 2018. Hence, students of the Sports, Culture & Events Management master study program were asked to develop ideas and to draft a concept for a sports day in Kufstein. All in all, four groups of students -of five students each- designed four different concepts. Therefore, they researched the city’s current sports offers, brainstormed ideas for additional attractions, and designed a marketing plan as well as a budget plan. The students presented their results to a jury during a pitch on June 21st, 2017. The concept of the winning team involves a 24 hours sport event. They will implement it in the upcoming semester, together with pupils of the HAK Wörgl. The sport event will take place on January 27th, 2018.
