As a university of applied sciences, it is important to work together in the interests of students and staff. This period illustrates the importance of collegial cohesion and established digitization in teaching.

In order to counter the further spread of the Corona Virus, the face-to-face courses at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol have been successfully switched to online courses since March 10, 2020. The university has been administered remotely since March 15, 2020 and the campus is closed until further notice. Staff members of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol are continuously informed about the established communication channels and the website.

University of Applied Sciences Operations Continue

The exceptional situation caused by the Corona Virus has shown that the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol can continue its operations remotely due to advanced digitization and good infrastructure and thus the summer semester for the approximately 2,200 students can continue. The students accepted the offer of converting the courses to online learning and have now also started to use online communication tools and multimedia to advance their applied projects. "We are pleased that the teaching staff and the students are taking this path with us and are acting in an understanding and responsible manner,” says Prof. (FH) Dr. Mario Döller, Rector of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.

Online registration for admission is still available for those interested in pursuing studies at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.  The application deadline for Bachelor degree programs is Tuesday, April 14, and the deadline for Master degree programs is Sunday, May 3, 2020.

Continued operations at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol are achieved through the cooperation and cohesion of all service areas and departments. The employees can pursue their activities and achieve their tasks equally via mobile working and carry out teamwork via online chat rooms. “Thanks to our good infrastructure and the great commitment of all our employees, we were able to switch the university operations to remote in no time. I am delighted that we have been able to ensure that the students can complete the summer semester successfully despite the difficult circumstances.
