Quality improvement of the healthcare sector

At the kick-off meeting on December 3 and 4, 2018 in Innsbruck, Stura and Wojciechowski presented their poster with the title “Training Blueprint for the Digital Transformation of Health and Care”. According to the initial proposition, the healthcare system does not yet fully utilize the existing potential of digital technologies. Employees, patients and clients cannot fully take advantage of the opportunities of easy access and greater quality of healthcare offers.

Analysis of existing trends and soft skills

In one of the studies funded by the European Union within the context of the Erasmus+ program, both researchers, together with seven partners from other member states of the European Union want to improve digital and social skills of health specialists and promote the usage of digital technology in the healthcare sector. Based on results, the research team hopes to gain insight into digital trends in the healthcare sector and a knowledge basis for current successful practices for new health technologies and training methods. A further goal is to provide an overview of current soft skills in the digital environment of the healthcare sector.

Presentations on health technologies

Prof. (FH) Torsten Wojciechowski also moderated the presentations on the cross-sectional topic of health technologies by Prof. Daniel Baumgarten of UMIT – Private Universität für Gesundheitswissenschaften, Medizinische Informatik und Technik GmbH and Prof. Reto Bale of the Medical University of Innsbruck.
