The students
• Know the basic features, similarities and differences between German and Austrian labor law.
• Know the differences and similarities in the creation and drafting of contracts and the resulting obligations both for the employee and for the employer.
• Are familiar with the essential provisions of dismissal protection law.
• Are able to assess and reflect on practical cases.
• Can draft employment contracts in principle.

• Overview of different forms of companies (GmbH, OHG, KG, GesbR, EWIV, Genossenschaft, Stiftung) and their advantages and disadvantages regarding the drafting of employment contracts and employee rights
• Rights and obligations of employers and employees
• Co-determination, dismissal and protection against dismissal in comparison between Austria and Germany
• Elements of an employment contracts in Austria and Germany
