The students are able to:

• Describe the basic laws of electrical engineering.
• Read electrical or electronic circuit diagrams.
• Calculate currents, voltages and resistances in electrical circuits.
• Explain the difference between direct current, alternating current and three-phase current.
• Describe the operation of electrical systems and machines.
• Distinguish between electrical protective measures.
• Explain electronic components.
