On May 9, 2012, the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences and all its degree programs were awarded full accreditation by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria) in accordance with §23 of the Act on Quality Assurance in Higher Education (HS-QSG). With this accreditation, the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences is now officially one of Austria's institutions of higher education that has been positively assessed and was awarded this accreditation unconditionally. The accreditation will be valid for a period of six years, after which the university will be required to apply for a quality audit to be carried out once every six years.
The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences is a public, university-level post-secondary education institution owned by the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences – Private Foundation (Fachhochschule Kufstein Tirol – Privatstiftung).
