course contents

Theoretical foundations of change management are shown, in particular term definitions and the general framework, as well as the basic forms of change. A phase model of change shows the management of organizational change as well as the individual steps of the change process. For this, in particular the phase model by Kotter is used. With change as an organizational challenge, the charter of change management as well as key factors of a successful approach are discussed. Furthermore, organizational mentalities and change in mature organizations will be worked on. In addition to organization, especially vision and change are examined in more detail. At the same time, vision in the corporate context as well as the fundamentals of vision are related to change and associated with numerous examples from practice. The joint development of a vision points out the challenges of change.

In addition, the implementation of change with Best Practice is explained. The discussion of the recipients of change as well as the reactions to change are treated theoretically looked at. Likewise, the barriers to the employees’ commitment and motivation are represented theoretically. From this, management can deduce strategies to increase the acceptance of change.
