Learning outcomes of course unit

-know the peculiarities of knowledge from the point of view of knowledge management
-know the relationship between knowledge and company strategy (e.g. target, benefit of knowledge management)
- know aim and benefit of knowledge management in companies
- can address the challenges of knowledge management (e.g. knowledge process) by means of information and communication technologies (IKT)
- know the most important knowledge management instruments and possibilities of combining them (e.g. networks, libraries, landscapes)
- can distinguish between the most important knowledge management strategies and derive framework from it (e.g. select strategy)
- know the challenges and possibilities of measuring the performance of knowledge management
- know the typical role of knowledge management (e.g. organizational embedding in enterprise)
- know basic systems and peculiarities of knowledge management and their options (e.g. IT support of knowledge management)

Modeling of knowledge-intensive processes
- know peculiarities of knowledge-intensive business processes
- know possibilities of modeling knowledge-intensive business processes
- has practical modeling knowledge of the modeling languages ARIS+, knowledge management extension and KMDL
