Learning outcomes of course unit

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:
- identify the economically significant regulations of contracts in real-estate
- recognize and analyse opportunities and risks in the composition and implementation of contracts in real-estate
- appreciate judicial, organisational, economic and commercial aspects and their dependencies
- derive the negotiation and management strategies for dealing with contracts in real-estate
- design and initiate competitions to optimize economic regulations.

course contents

Case and application-oriented analysis and independent development of structures and content of contracts in real-estate, in particular:
- commercial rental and leasing contracts
- business and management contracts in the hotelier and hospitality industries
- specific real-estate purchase contracts with options, construction obligations etc.
- financing contracts
- architectural contracts
- construction contracts
- urban development contracts
- corporate contracts in connection with stock constructions etc.

Forms, structures and conditions of competitions to optimize the commercial regulations of contracts in real-estate, in particular:
- urban development competitions
- architectural competitions
- investor competitions
- land bidding procedures etc.
