Learning outcomes of course unit

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:
- understand possible financing options in real-estate and project financing and assess their economic and financial effects
- understand the principles of ratings and their effects on securities and interest rate conditions
- distinguish between various interest and repayment structures and calculate them in practice
- understand various forms of equity financing.

- Balance sheet classification of financing options
- Capital costs and leverage effect
- External financing options in real-estate and securities
- Basics of ratings
- Interest rate and repayment structures including calculation of repayment structures
- Covenants and figures
- Extension in project financing
