Learning outcomes of course unit

Students will be able to use their previously acquired knowledge in sport and cultural development as well as in sport and cultural management to contribute to discussions. They will also be able to scrutinize, classify and contrast new findings. They will be able to suitably evaluate the conduct of experts from industry and academia. They will be able to initiate contact with the experts and/or develop and understand both the Austrian and international markets.

Example for a possible elective: Summer School
As part of the Summer School current structural changes within cultural management will be considered and will be discursively contrasted from the perspectives of science as well as in practice. The students and international participants will be offered an interesting and challenging program, which comprises of academic lectures and workshops from renowned speakers on current topics such as the recent: 'Do we need new cultural identities? - Strategies of Cultural Management for Representation and Cooperation of Art Institutions and Artists across Europe'. The lectures and workshops will be combined with opportunities for practical experience, which will have an immediate practical relevance to the particular topics. The Summer School takes place in Epidavros in Greece.
