Learning outcomes of course unit

Students will become familiar with the innovative use of the media and its function within project processes. They will master the management strategies in speaking, writing and visual acts.

course contents

Introduction of basic texts for dealing with the media (see the recommended reading list);
iconography and oral traditions;
training examples from the USA and Europe - discussion of different training approaches;
understanding historical scriptures;
writing press releases, advertising copy (flyers, posters, brochures etc.);
public speaking (radio, television, corporate videos etc.), presentations, welcoming speeches;
distribution of innovative ideas as competency-building in scientific education.
