This week, the Tyrolean state government presented a science funding program worth 8.6 million euros. This will also enable the Kufstein University to further expand important projects.
Cornelia Hagele, who has been in office since October 2022 and is responsible for health, care, education, science and research, visited the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. During a tour of the educational institution's premises, she was able to get an overview of the campus's modern facilities. As the person responsible for education, science and research at the state political level, the focus of the tour was on visiting the numerous laboratories at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. “Current topics such as renewable energies and sustainability are taught to students here in a practical way and further developed – it is precisely this procedure that we need in our education system,” said Hagele.

The Web Lab left a particularly lasting impression on the state councilor, who was able to take a paragliding flight over the city of Kufstein in a VR flight simulator. As part of the Kufstein University Private Foundation, the state councilor was also introduced to the International School Kufstein (ISK), which is also located on the campus and stands out in the Austrian educational landscape due to its language diversity and the innovative learning profile of the International Baccalaureate Organization. “We see ourselves as a house of education, where numerous different teaching institutions come together under one roof and benefit from each other,” emphasized Prof. (FH) Dr. Mario Döller, rector of the university of applied sciences.
