As part of their practical project, students of the ERP Systems & Business Process Management master's program at the Kufstein University carried out an ACTUAL process mapping for the creation of article master data at the W&H Group in Bürmoos.
The W&H Group develops, produces and distributes medical products for dental applications and small bone surgery. The products are distributed worldwide via 17 sales subsidiaries and sales partners. These products are developed and manufactured at the production sites in Austria, Italy and Sweden in accordance with the requirements of a medical device manufacturer.
In a five-month practical project, students of the ERP Systems & Business Process Management master's degree program at the FH Kufstein Tirol carried out an ACTUAL process mapping for the creation of article master data. In a workshop and in several further improvement rounds, the foundation was laid for the further course of the project. Thanks to the results of the process workshop, the students were then able to focus on selecting a suitable data management system. First, the potential benefits of such software support were discussed and, once the criteria had been selected, a corresponding benefit analysis was carried out, which assessed three different software providers.
Martin Schwenoha, Managing Director of the W&H Group, concluded: “Process management brings significant added value to our company. We were able to see this from the live experience during the project.”
