Over 90 people found their way to the Kufstein University at the beginning of November 2023 to take part in Kontakt in die Zukunft. Under this title, a group of students from the Kufstein University organized an evening for those interested in sports, culture and event management.

Kontakt in die Zukunft is a practical presentation in the form of a panel discussion with a view to the future and exciting networking opportunities. Various speakers from the sports, culture and event industry will be invited to discuss issues such as opportunities, prospects and much more. The aim is also to gain insights into the profession of sports, culture and event management. In addition, managers from the event sector provided insights into their day-to-day work and answered open questions during a panel discussion. The visitors, most of whom were students on the Sport, Culture and Event Management degree program at Kufstein University, were able to make good contacts and hold discussions. It was not only the audience that made for a successful evening, but also the exclusive and diverse insights of the guest speakers. This time, Kathrin Obernhumer, Head of Community, Culture & Innovation at Tabakfabrik Linz, David Prieth, CEO Managing Director of the cultural center p. m. k, and Axel Naglich, architect and extreme athlete, did the honors.

CONTROVERSIES DURING THE PANEL DISCUSSION

The guest speakers on stage did not always agree on the content, which in turn provided exciting fuel for the panel discussion. Axel Naglich, for example, insisted that “skiing is simply awesome”. While Kathrin Obernhumer and David Prieth drew attention to the topic of sustainability several times.

However, his exemplary position began to crumble when David Prieth revealed his strategy for organizing an event: “If you don't want to have any problems as an organizer, invite everyone and then no one will automatically complain.”

RAFFLE WITH NUMEROUS PRIZES

“Nobody goes home empty-handed - everyone gets a prize today,” interjected presenter
presenter, Constantin Badawi, interjected right at the start of the evening. In fact, thanks to the generous support of sponsors, the project group was able to raffle off various prizes among all audience members. These included tickets for a Red Bull Salzburg match of their choice, tickets for the Tyrolean Festival Erl and guest list tickets for the LEMO concert in Wörgl.

"It was a great experience to organize Contact into the Future. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the guests, sponsors, the project coach and my team," said project manager Jasmin Rothberger at the end. The practical project will now be handed over to other students and is expected to return in summer 2024.
