The jointly developed rules for assembly-oriented product design at Gronbach are summarized in a manual.

Prof. (FH) Dr. Martin Adam and Dr. Christian Schmid from the Kufstein University support the company by analyzing the current development process and defining principles based on this.

Many parties are involved in successfully placing a product on the market. From sales to design, development, purchasing, production, industrial engineering, quality assurance and logistics - there is hardly a company division that is not involved.

DAY SEMINARS FOR ASSEMBLY-ORIENTED DESIGN

In a manufacturing company, close cooperation between development and production is crucial and essential in order to be able to produce a product cost-efficiently, simply and reliably. In order to turn this departmental interface into an interface, Gronbach integrates production into development projects at an early stage. In order to further improve cooperation, Head of Development Robert Kofler analyzed the current product development process (PDP) together with Professors Dr. Martin Adam and Dr. Christian Schmid from the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol and the developers and industrial engineers at the Niederndorf site. In several one-day seminars, they jointly defined principles and rules for assembly-oriented design. In addition, they selected techniques for the assessment of designs from a manufacturing perspective, which they applied to their own and third-party products. All of these results will be anchored within the Q-Gates within the PEP in the future.

The jointly developed rules for assembly-oriented product design are summarized in a manual. The manual is intended to support the development team in taking full account of production requirements.
