Presentation of the ÖH Audience Award (Sandra Winkler, Angelina Baumann, Thomas Schöpp)
At the end of November, the Kufstein Short Film Festival took place in the cultural quarter, which was organized and carried out by students of the FH Kufstein Tirol.
The 7th edition of the Kufstein Short Film Festival, held on November 27, 2024, attracted over 100 enthusiastic visitors to the theater hall at the Kulturquartier. The international event impressed with a diverse program that took guests on a cinematic journey under the theme "A Step Into the Unknown."
The Big Winners of the Evening
The evening culminated in the prestigious award ceremony:
The Raiffeisen-Award Kurzfilm Festival Kufstein and ÖH Audience Award went to „Taste of Home“ by Vietnamese-German writer and director Âni Võ. The poignant film captivated with its emotional storytelling and authentic depiction of identity and belonging.
After the official part of the celebration, Segabar Kufstein invited the guests for a drink (or two) – an opportunity that visitors eagerly seized to wind down the evening and dance the night away.
Sustainability as Part of the Success
As in previous years, sustainability played a key role. The festival once again adhered to the guidelines of Green Events Tirol and partnered with regional collaborators such as Kufsteinerland and Auerbräu. The event proved that culture and environmental protection can go hand in hand.
A Promising Future
The Kufstein Short Film Festival once again demonstrated the power of short films to bring people together and inspire. With applause and anticipation, guests left the event, already looking forward to next year’s edition.
