The LEAN Lab at Kufstein University offers the opportunity to simulate and optimize production processes.

Further training plays a central role, as was recently demonstrated at the training week for STIHL Group employees on the store floor of the Kufstein University. In addition to a wide range of skills / competencies, the focus was on strengthening problem-solving skills.

Over several days in the laboratories of the Kufstein University, STIHL Group employees trained in areas such as recognizing waste in order to make processes more efficient and the importance of store floor meetings for the rapid exchange of information and cooperation between upstream and downstream departments. “The ability to recognize quality standards and ensure that the required specifications are achieved as well as simple methods to solve problems quickly and sustainably were further contents of the training courses,” says Prof. (FH). Dr. Martin Adam of Kufstein University, who organized the training courses in the in-house Lean Lab with his team.
