The FH Kufstein Tirol, University of Applied Sciences, and the Pirlo Kufstein Towers basketball team offer students an attractive scholarship. Interested students can study at the university and play in the professional men's basketball team of Kufstein. Many benefits and perks await the chosen students while they pursue their athletic careers.
The basketball club was founded in 2017, the tradition as well as the first championship titles were recorded by the club in the late 1990s. The basketball team plays in the second national league in Austria and offers a professional organization with excellent training conditions. The international coaching staff and the medical team support each player individually.
The application process to study at the FH Kufstein Tirol is independent from the application for the Scholarship - both hurdles have to be mastered athletically.
The application for the scholarship at the club includes an application letter with a current highlight video of your athletic abilities. Afterwards, the application process continues with the selection and awarding of the scholarship by Pirlo Kufstein Towers.
Whether or not the scholarship application has been approved is decided within one week of receiving the application.

New arrival Florian Köppl, master student in the Sports, Culture & Event Management program, is 28 years old and a very experienced player from Germany. Florian spent the past seasons in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe and was an important part of the big man rotation there. This is the role that also awaits him in Kufstein. In addition, Florian also takes on coaching and office duties at the club and is a student at the FH Kufstein Tirol.

Jakub Hussain, Bachelor student in Marketing and Communication Management, is delighted about the award he received: "I come from Lower Austria and although there are numerous options for studying in the region, as well as some basketball teams in the higher leagues, it was clear to me that I wanted to take advantage of this unique opportunity in Kufstein. This combination of studies and basketball is unique in Austria and I am very grateful to have received the 'crunch-time award' and can therefore fully concentrate on the two things that are very important to me. This motivates me even more to achieve top performance in both areas."
